Message (or soldering the two wires together). A switch in place of the quick connect would allow you to disable the car from starting when the switch is open. As in the mod, you would have to cut the white wire with the black stripe first though.

There is no need to put 12 volts back into the non-ECU side of the pin 58 wire. Normally that line is always hot. After the modification that line will be hot when you start the car or the key is in the on position. Thats why you can still get the fault codes with the car on.

That line is connected to the heavy line that feeds the injectors and is always connected to the battery via the E10 connector. It connects to the heavy line inside the harness. If you have a 1990-1991 Z and strip back the harness insulation at the ECU connector you can find where it connects. In later years that wire is connected much further up into the harness making it impossible to do the "switched injector voltage at the ECU connector" mod that's in the FAQ.
